Jaguar’s ever expanding range of luxury cars will never let you stay at peace. This time the company has announced the enhancement kits for its premium range XKR coupe viz. the Speed Pack and Black Pack to be launched in 2011. Mind it! These kits will only be available for the XKR Coupe. The Black Pack gives enhanced visual effect whereas the Speed Pack as the name suggests offers high speed performance. Well! If you need both of them, then there is the Special Edition that would combine all the features of both the packs. Umm! More powerful indeed!

Let us have a look at what all we can get in both the packs. The Speed Pack lets you drive at speed ranging from 250 km/h to 280 km/h. Achieving high speeds has become possible only with the help of betterments in the engine and fine-tuning in the transmission. If you buy a Speed Kit, you will be assured of getting top speed of top speed of 174 mph (280 km/h) rather than 155 mph. Do not worry of steer wheel movements as the Company guarantees steer stability at such a high speed because of its retooled front aerodynamic splitter and bigger spoiler at the rear end.

The Company has done amendments in the engine as by making it Euro Stage V compliant, it has achieved better CO2 emissions performance and economy in use of fuel in comparison to the older 4.2-litre XKR engine. The Jaguar XKR Coupe’s price begins at £74,955 and enhancing your car the Speed Pack and Speed & Black Pack would be available at a cost of £3,500 and £4,000, respectively in just three color options viz. Salsa Red, Polaris White, and Ultimate Black. Jaguar will ship these packs first in UK. But, you will be able to get a glimpse of XKR Special Edition, Speed and Black Packs at Geneva Motor Show 2010.
