Dennis Lee Hopper, the famous an American actor, filmmaker and artist was in news in the beginning of this year which send shock waves to his fans. Hopper started his career in acting by learning from the Actors Studio. He made his first television appearance in 1955. He had in his credit films such as James Dean, Rebel Without a Cause, Giant, Easy Rider, Rumble Fish, The Osterman Weekend and Speed.

In early 2010, it was revealed that Hopper is seriously suffering from inoperable and terminal prostate cancer, which is nearing its latter stages. At this crucial junction, hopper decided to divorce his wife, Victoria from deathbed. The reason cited at the court was mentioned as irreconcilable differences between them. They had been into a comfortable marital life for the last 14 years and have a six year old daughter.

We have seen people reconciling after a long separation or last stage of life to united the family and keep the loved ones in their hold but ironically in the Hoppers’ case, he wished to move out of his wife from his deathbed. The 73-year-old actor also decided to get her out of the beachside compound abode where they had once lived in happiness and harmony.

His family and friend circle unofficial claim that it is Marin Hopper, Dennis’ oldest daughter from previous marriage, might be the main reason that might have led the actor to move to end his relationship with present wife Victoria after nearly 14-year marriage. The close friend also mentioned that Marin Hopper has been spending valuable time at the Hopper compound residence in Venice, Calif. with her dad and Victoria Duffy-Hopper.

Hopper is a prolific painter, photographer and sculptor whose collections are exhibited world over. Usually his photography is popularly known for fantastic portraits from the 1960s onwards. He adopted a different painting style ranges which was initially from abstract impressionism to photorealism. We can often get glimpses of his cinematic work too in it.
