Competing Skinny and Plus sized Models?

Who do you think can better flaunt a dress and compel you to buy it, a skinny model or a model just like you who is not so slim and not so skinny, in fact a plus sized? Well, if you would ask me then I would have definitely chose the second option as I know that being skinny is not everybody’s cup of tea and hence, everybody would like to see the reality. If you cannot mirror yourself in the model wearing the dress then you definitely won’t feel like buying it, isn’t it? The V magazine for its January issue has taken up a revolutionary step that is why, where it has portrayed both, a skinny model and a plus sized one.

For the role of the skinny model, the magazine has selected Jacquelyn Jablonksi and it is Crystal Renn who is standing as a plus sized model. Let me tell you the sizes of both these ladies appropriately, so that you can have a fair idea of how different they are from each other. Both of them are 5 ft 9 inch in height but when in one side Jacquelyn’s body size is 32″/24″/34″; on the other side Crystal’s is 36″/31″/41″.

The main idea behind taking two different sized models for the same outfit is that this magazine wants to prove how any figure can wear any fashionable clothes and there is no particular dress and design for a particular body size. The models are made to wear the same outfit, same make-up and in fact, are shot too in the same pose. All these photos are shot by Terry Richardson and have been put into an 8-page editorial.
Yes, the idea of the magazine is commendable but if it ends as a competition between the skinny and the plus sized women then that definitely is not healthy. There should not be any unhealthy competition based on this issue of choosing the best one from among the skinny and over-sized ladies.

I love it, both girls look amazing, and both look better in one than the other.
first they both look good, second the skinner model clearly looks better and third the fuller model makes the outfit look more playful and sexy. well done everyone
