Dieting and exercise can be difficult and there are always roadblocks we tend to run into. Eating out more often or stopping your regular workout routine can begin to affect your weight loss goals if it becomes habit forming. Here are some steps you can take to help you get back on track.

1. Explore some healthy cooking cookbooks so you are enticed to use your own kitchen instead of eating in a restaurant. When we purchase a new cookbook we often find recipes we really want to try and learn to incorporate new healthy options into our diets. Scour your local Barnes and Noble for a taste of something new.

2. Change up your workout. By adding a new fitness class or trying a new cardio machine, your mind will stay stimulated and your body will actually thank you. When you change up your routine your body is forced to change with it. Try going for a run instead of using the treadmill. Challenge yourself instead of giving up, kickboxing or Pilates classes are a sure fire way to get you in the mood for a good workout.

3. Create an incentive program for yourself. When we work towards something, we tend to work harder and stay on track to reach whatever it is that we are after. For every pound you lose, set aside a set amount of money so you can treat yourself to a manicure in a month or buy yourself that new pair of jeans when you drop a dress size. Each time you reach one goal, set another. Make it something you really enjoy and youwomen2 are sure to reach that goal.

Losing weight and staying on track can be a challenge but it does not always have to be a bad challenge. Keep yourself intrigued with new challenges and goals for your fitness and weight loss plan. Just remember, your ultimate goal is to feel good and find the confidence you always new you had.
