Handbags Are Girl’s (New) Best Friends

Whoever said that diamonds are girl’s best friends wasn’t wrong. But I need to add, so are their handbags.

Women take care about their handbags as much as men take care about their cars. Each woman has several handbags – each for different occasions, different colors (matching her shoes) and sizes (mini to super-sized ones).

When buying a bag, the choice depends about one’s age. Teenagers like bright, sparkling, colorful bags that are a part of their expression, personality, youth and energy. Women focused on their careers prefer prestige, professional, busy appearance, simple and elegant. A bag is often a status symbol to them.

Most of adult women like light, spacious bags with many compartments on the inside where they can put their make up, cell phone, keys, wallet and all those cute little things they need besides them. Design is one of the key elements but it’s not always critical or most important. We often buy the ones that are more practical. Another important thing when buying is quality because we like to keep them for as long as possible.

When I say quality handbag, the first thing that comes up to mind is an elegant designer bag. Those are often pretty expensive but they are worth every penny. Not only it will last longer but the fact that you have a real piece of fashion in your hand will boost your ego.

One of the most expensive are Hermes Birkin (named after Jane Birkin) handbags. They are every woman’s dream when it comes to bags. No matter how much money you have, there’s a waiting list for those so no wonder only very „powerful“ women can afford those. For example, David Beckham bought his wife Victoria a gorgeous white alligator skin Birkin for „only“ 120,000 $. By the way, only two more like that one were produced and you couldn’t buy them anywhere of course.

Here is a list of some of most expensive handbags in the world:

Fendi “B. Bag”

Hermes “Birkin”

YSL “Muse”

Prada “Frame Bag”

Zac Posen “Alexia”

Ralph Lauren “Ricky”

Chloe “Paddington”

Gucci “Boston”
